I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
